As a Social Care Network (SCN) led entity under New York’s 115 Waiver Amendment’s SCN & Health-Related Social Need (HRSNs) Program, we’re here to ensure all staff and providers understand and avoid conflicts of interest (COI) to support fair, unbiased service delivery.
After completing this session, participants will be able to:
- Define and describe conflicts of interest and how they can arise in service delivery.
- Explain the Referral and Navigation COI Policy and Procedure, including its purpose and key steps.
- Identify potential conflicts of interest and select the appropriate procedure to address them.
- Describe the responsibilities of Social Care Navigators and Enhanced HRSN Service Providers related to COI.
- Explain the concept of separation of duties and identify how it supports unbiased service delivery.
- Summarize the mechanisms used for monitoring, oversight, and enforcement, and describe their role in compliance.
- Recognize gift prohibition standards and discuss their significance in maintaining ethical practices.
